Youth Engagement Workers are a team of skilled professionals who work with vulnerable and difficult to engage young people using a variety of methods including face-to-face sessions, groups and social media. We can advise about services and opportunities available to young people and can provide the link between young people and what they want to be doing.

Targeted support for young people aged 14-18 years, focusing specifically on NEET (not in education, employement or training) young people.

Further information

Youth Engagement Workers (YEWs) support young people aged 16-18 that are not in education, employment, or training (NEET), or might become NEET, that have no support from other professionals or agencies. YEWs support young people to find apprenticeships, jobs, education or training courses that set them on a road to the careers they want to have.

What we offer:

- a young-person focused and flexible approach
- regular support sessions and help to explore what help is required
- an Early Help Record and Plan can be written if appropriate

Client groups

Young people age 16-18 who are not in education, employment or training (NEET) or at risk of becoming NEET and  who have no identified support from other professionals/agencies. Young people in year 11 who have no plan and no support from other professionals/agencies for after they leave school.
