Warm and Safe Wiltshire is a service provided by Wiltshire Council, Swindon Borough Council, Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service in partnership with the Centre for Sustainable Energy to help residents live in warmer, safer and healthier homes.


Most services are free of charge, some practical measures such as heating and / or insulation measures may be subsidised wholly or partially, so may require a contribution to be made.

Help with heating and insulation for your home, support to maximise your income and manage fuel bills, plus advice to reduce energy use and combat condensation and mould problems.

We work with many partners to provide a one-stop-shop for help with reducing your energy bills and keeping warm in the home. This may be through referrals for practical action or through the provision of advice or guidance.

We can offer help and advice on:
Insulation, heating and draft proofing.
Guidance on heating systems and controls.
Issues with damp and condensation.
Advice on understanding your fuel bills.
Help with switching energy suppliers and fuel tariffs to keep bills affordable.
