Volunteering opportunities in many diverse areas of restoration and day-to-day operation of a Heritage Railway

Rescue, restore, maintain, build railway items. Run train services, cafe, shop for the public.

Opportunities to do everything from serving in the cafe to restoring steam locomotives to building the stations and laying the track to running trains for the public to raise funds - see website for details. Training given as required. Acquired skills have lead to employment for several members and enjoyment as part of a team achieving something worthwhile.

Client groups

All young and vulnerable people must be accompanied at all times by a responsible adult or carer. Limited access to some activities for safety reasons.
