Service summary

The Commonweal School has a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) for children aged 11-18 with a physical disability.

Further information

We have a team of specialist teaching assistants, led by a dedicated HLTA and Assistant SENDCo. We have modern, bespoke facilities for personal care and physiotherapy. We access hydrotherapy locally and a range of qualifications as appropriate.

Client groups

Responsibility for placing and funding pupils in the SRP lies with SENDACT (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Assessment and Commissioning Team) at the Local Authority. Children need an EHCP with their primary need being 'Physical Disability' in order to receive a place in the SRP.
