The SRP is within a mainstream junior school for children aged 7-11 years old. SRP children access the mainstream classes across the day. They are supported by specialist teaching assistants to meet their individual needs and to access interventions.

Responsibility for placing and funding pupils in the unit lies with SENACT (Special Educational Needs Assessment and Commissioning Team) at the Local Authority.
