From September 2014, in accordance with the Children and Families Act, all local authorities must publish a local offer. The Local Offer must set out, in one place, information about provision they expect to be available across education, health and social care for children and young people in their area who have special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including those with or without Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans.

The SEND Local Offer is the “go to” website for SEND in Swindon and the first way for children, young people and families to access information to support their SEND journey. The priority for this website is to empower children, young people and families across Swindon by giving them knowledge about what they should expect, the services and provision available, how to access it, and what to do if they are not satisfied.

The SEND Local Offer will also be the go to resource for practitioners working across education, health and care.

The Swindon Local Offer is aimed at:
