The Highworth Day Care Club

Provides warmth and company for older people and a cooked meal. Occasional outings, bingo.  Toilet facilities for the disabled, no steps.  Tuesdays 10am till 3pm.  Speakers, entertainers, transport, coach outings. Taking members to nearby surgery and collecting prescriptions. Charges/Costs £3.00.  No age limits, all members are ladies and live in Highworth. - surrounding areas need to supply own transport. We currently have members from Blunsdon and Stanton as well as Highworth.

Polish Citizens' Day Centre

Providing a meeting place for Polish elderly citizens to meet socially. The group meets every second Wednesday from 10am-2pm. There are talks, religious services, cultural, social and annual outings. Most of our members are able bodied but some use walking sticks. Members are Polish speaking and come from all areas of Swindon. We do not have members from outside of Swindon as we cannot provide transport. £5 payment includes lunch and tea/coffee.

Ridgeway House

Ridgeway House provides a friendly day care service to the local community, helping carers to get valuable respite, while older and disabled people can enjoy a pleasant interior and social atmosphere, with numerous entertainments and activities incorporated. Mondays to Fridays 10am-4pm.

First City Day Services

We provide day services for people with a wide range of care needs including older people, people with a learning disability and people with a physical disability. Monday to Friday 9am-4pm.

  • The Riding, Newburgh House, Harry Garrett and Maple Court all provide day care for older people.
  • OK4U is our day service that is suitable for people with learning and physical disabilities.
