Homelessness

If you are homeless or threatened with homelessness and need some advice you can contact Swindon Borough Council’s Housing Options Team.

The first thing they will do is guide you through the steps you need to take for you to remain in your current accommodation, if it is safe to do so, as early intervention in these situations is helpful.

If this is not possible, you will be given advice on other options available to you depending on your circumstances.

This can include:

  • advice on issues relating to your current accommodation or looking for other accommodation
  • if you are experiencing domestic abuse or have issues with drugs, alcohol or mental health
  • if you are rough sleeping
  • needing emergency accommodation

In all cases please contact the Housing Options team - by email hoptions@swindon.gov.uk or call 01793 445503.

If the enquiry is outside normal office hours, please ring 01793 466451.
